I have a pet peeve.  Namely stupid.  When something makes no rational sense it is plainly stupid.  My greatest fear, even above being ugly, is to be stupid.  Critical thinking will make you self-aware.  It may seem obvious that you can only be aware inside of your own mind.  You have control of exactly ONE human being.  The organ called a brain (inside your skull) has your name on it.  It is your real estate.  Now the Mind aka spirit is the center of control for the entire body.

When my children were small I wanted them to understand the value of their being.  They needed to understand there is a spirit inside of every human that can communicate with its creator.  I gave them the example of peanut butter in a jar.  The jar is your body, the peanut butter is your soul.  It is the “who” you are.  It is the part that will meet God one day.

Remember that, in reality, even the highest of human intelligence doesn’t  make one smart.  Education does help.   But we are still very limited in our capacity to find and retain knowledge.

A Quip that keeps me on track:

“You don’t know one tenth of one percent of anything”, a simple reminder of our humble place in the hierarchy of life.  The humility that reminds us that we are temporal, keeps us on track with seeking wisdom.

Wisdom is more than knowledge or information.  She combines truth, information, history and prophecy.  The wealth of daily (even moment by moment) guidance provided by clear thought is priceless.

The wisdom that comes from God is first peaceable.  If there were no other reason to get to know the scriptures, in them you will find Peace for your soul.  It contains a wealth of truth, guidance and love.  Feed your mind scriptures and you will be amazed at the clarity that will come in understanding.  God offers to light your steps. He promises to stay by your side (no matter where you are).  You cannot see His Face at this juncture, but you can be aware of Him with every breath you take.  Love as always….mec
