Perfectionism

Wow is it hard to keep from judging others. We hold a pretty high bar for others to maintain. But oops, they are human just like us. It would go a long way toward world peace if we’d just Stop condemning each other. Quit trying to look perfect on the outside while not dealing with your heart. Trying to look good on the outside only goes so far. Ask the people you live with.

The Point

How we judge others, is how we’ll be judged.

Do not judge and criticize and condemn others, so that you may not be judged and criticized and condemned yourselves.

General Consensus

There is a commonly held notion that “Christians” claim to be perfect. You can definitely say they are in “process” of being made righteous, but far from perfect.

Perfectionism is an Addiction

Actually it is at least two problems wrapped into one. The first is OCD, obsessive compulsive disorder. Your house has to be perfect, or your car or your face. Whatever it is it is a challenge to break this self made prison. This can lead to being obsessed with yourself.  God wants to meet us where we are. The real us. The insecure child.

Your soul cries out for the Freedom God Promises.

You don’t have to do ANYTHING to earn God’s love. and forgiveness and acceptance.

Acts 16:31 “What must I do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

You will be blown away by the exciting things God has planned for your “imperfect” life!
