Jesus comforts broken hearts

Does a baby cry only to be punished for having a need? When your tears flow God does not turn a blind eye. Jesus offers comfort in times of great sorrow. He comes along beside us and shares the burden.

Tears have a purpose. When we witnesses suffering, like the horrible earthquakes in Turkey and Syria we are moved to tears. The thought of pain, suffering and loss, moves our heart.

Science can’t explain “emotional” tears. The lacrimal glands that produce different types of tears are essential to eye sight. But emotional tears have a different origin, (the heart), and purpose. They contain proteins and hormones that are pain relieving and though odorless, communicate distress and sorrow through scent. They draw the attention of others to our personal sorrow. God sees your tears, and cares. He is moved with compassion.

Psalm 56:8 “You keep track of ALL MY SORROWS. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book”.

WOW. Pause and think about That.

Right now you can lay your sorrows down at His feet. Talk to God, then listen for His quiet response.
