There was a funeral in Indianapolis

of an older man that I didn’t really know.  The eulogy got me.  It struck me as hopeless!  The speaker said some eloquent things about life and the deceased.  Then in conclusion he said in a soft voice, “…Fred is gone now and his life was merely a drop in a bucket of water.  He caused a small ripple, now you can’t even see where he had been.”  WHAT???  Does anybody matter?

Twisted Conclusion

There are millions of people but that doesn’t mean there are millions of ways to God. There are millions of people but that doesn’t mean people are disposable, useless. Jesus counted you worth giving His life for. You as an individual, matter to God.

Build Your House on the Rock

24 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
