The major rise in the mental heath crisis is great cause for concern. This is especially true in America. Thru the eyes of the world, we are the most messed up people on the planet. We look self-absorbed, self-centered and obsessed with sex. We don’t know who to believe, what to believe or why we believe it. Honestly we don’t have enough clinicians, psychiatrist, therapist, facilities or educators to deal with the crisis here in the United States. Everyone is concerned! What should we do? Identifying the CAUSES, would be a great place to start. WE know bandaids don’t solve problems. What are the causes of this epidemic? Stress, fear, anxiety, rage, abandonment each cause for mental duress, each sourced from the mind. Why has suicice become to go-to response for so many? What are we doing to solve this desperate cry for help? Are we calming anyone down, offering peace and hope, unity and forgiveness. Apparently NEEDING forgiveness has gone outta style. So I’m asking you now: Think about this who or what is in control of your heart, mind and soul? Its not your autonomic nervous system. So you make choices, moment by moment. Everything you ALLOW into your mind via your 6 senses influence your RATIONAL! Who is your boss? What have you allowed to rule your mind? Are you constantly being drained of self awareness, so much so that you have blended seamlessly into the fabric of the culture. Do the dictates of your class status dominate your thoughts, dictate your actions? Are you so busy that you aren’t sure why you believe what you do? Or act how you do? What is your knee jerk reaction to someones speech. How are you programed? Are you an independent thinker? Are you a proxy for someone else’s issues? We are so BUSY, we don’t have time, or a moment to think! Stop running around like a chicken with its stupid head cut off! Set YOURSELF free! Listen to Beethoven, read a poem or the Psalms, study the stars or a plant, enjoy a glass of water from a clear brook. Selah, Pause as think about this:
Proverbs 23:7 Its about a man that tells you come in and enjoy a meal, but in his heart he begrudgingly offered the food…”as he thinks in his heart, so is he/she”
