Who Knows Why?

If we start with a basic fact: “we don’t know one 10th of one percent of anything”, then we are on good footing.  Basically mankind is a very simple being.  I could say womankind if it makes you feel better.  Whatever, we are simple minded.  But I would like you to think about why.  Why you?  Why your point of view?  Why are we locked out of other peoples private thoughts? Why, why, why is there YOU?

We only have ONE (singular) point of reference, our own mind.  We interact with other humans on a limited platform.  In The Seven Ages of Man by Shakespeare, it is noted that all the world is a stage, and all the men and women merely players.  Could it be that our relationship with our Creator does put us center stage?  Even more than that is that He takes center stage in our life as well.  In this symbiotic relationship comes meaning, life, power and Purpose.  If we live out our life believing that how we appear “on stage” to others is the end all of life, we fail sorely to find meaning.  People are fickle, cruel, unfocused and even the best of friends are human, limited.

When you meet someone new, most of us put out a friendly vibe.  A handshake or friendly smile offer  the idea that neither person is hostile.  The question then becomes what are they thinking about me?  Actually you can only guess.  You know what impression you’re forming of them.  Might I pause here and point out this is the whole entire point.  No human knows the thoughts and intentions of your heart (your inner self).  Many songs and movies are written about the human condition.

“Sweet dreams are made of this, Who am I to disagree, I travel the world and the seven seas, Everybody’s looking for something…” the Eurythmics

Yes, we are looking for something!  We want to be valued, esteemed, listened to, pretty, popular, charismatic, honored, respected, have meaning and find our PURPOSE.  We want to be LOVED and valued above all.

When I first started studying psychology it was so confusing.  They said over and over you can’t love anyone, until you learn to love yourself.  I disagree.  You cannot love yourself, or anyone else, until you learn what it is to be LOVED completely and unconditionally.  “We Love, Because He First Loved Us”. 1John 4:19.  NO ONE LOVES YOU LIKE GOD.  No one knows YOU like God does.  He Knows your self-centered nasty side, your potty brain, your lazy, obsessed, selfish side, He knows when you have a good thought, a kind thought or even a loving thought.  Bottom line He is the GENISIS of Love.  He gave you a body so your soul would have a container.  You’re body is flesh, it withers and pass away like a flower in the field.  The soul, the being, the “who” of you Is Eternal. We will all stand before our creator one day and answer for the life we were given.  Did we seek Him to find our meaning? Did we accept the Christ?

Going back to the song Sweet Dreams, according to them: even if you travel the whole world over you will only find the abuser and the abused or the user and those that want to be used by them.  “Everybody’s Looking for Something”. I submit to you that what we are all seeking is to be loved, understood, with a sense of purpose and happiness. I say TRY God.  Unwrap some freedom, power and purpose, open your Bible and let the fun times roll!
